In the Dark, Soft Earth
๐บ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ I have loved poetry since I was a young child. I think it was the realization that something written could sometimes resonate with me in a deep way. This collection of poems is exquisite and was a pleasure to read. As with any collection of poems, I liked some poems more than others. I found myself reading the ones I did like more than once and made notes to be able to go back and read them yet again. ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐ญ๐ก ๐ข๐ฌ ๐ ๐ฅ๐๐ง๐ ๐ฎ๐๐ ๐ ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐จ๐ค๐๐ง ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฆ ๐๐ง ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฌ๐ฌ -Frank Watson There were poems inspired by love, nature, tarot, and jazz. There were a few that stood out for me such as "Bohemia" and I enjoyed the collection from the chapter titled, "Percussion Mind". ๐๐ผ๐๐ป๐ฑ๐ ๐ฝ๐น๐ฎ๐ ๐น๐ผ๐๐ฑ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐น๐ถ๐ด๐ต๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐ฏ๐น๐๐ฟ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ฎ ๐๐ฎ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ ๐ฑ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐ฎ ๐๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐๐ฎ๐๐ ๐ด๐น๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ธ ๐ถ๐ป ๐ฐ๐ผ๐น๐ผ๐ฟ๐ ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฑ๐ ๐๐ป๐ต๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ -Frank Watson One of the things I liked best about this collection is how the author showed where some of his inspiration came from. Namely... art. There is art speckled throughout the book and I appreciated the background to the birth of some of the poems. All in all, a very delightful read.
